Ok so I’m going to cheat. At the moment I’m just too busy too keep an up-to-date blog, so for my sins I’m going to compress a whole week into one and then try not to leave it so long before each post.

As weeks go it was pretty average. I spent most of the week playing old-skool settlers on DosBox. It’s such a great game, I love it. Build up your industry, expand and attack, it’s at easy as that. Apart from destroying my enemies I spent the week getting back to my writing.

For years now I’ve been doing bits and pieces, never really getting far and ultimately getting frustrated at my lack of eloquence. I decided to start small this time and came up with a simple scenario that allowed me to expand past the initial storyline. Several frustrating attempts later and I still haven’t managed to get past page 1, but it’s progressing and it’s a lot tighter than any other short story I have tried to write.

Probably the highlight of the week was watching Liverpool v Chelsea in the European Champions league. It’s got to be the best game of football I have seen all year. It had passion, dedication and a plethora of goals. Both teams played their hearts out, but in the end Liverpool failed to bring back that spirit of Istanbul.

Once again I was destroyed at Carcassonne, it’s now becoming a sure fire bet, that despite never really losing, at the same time I probably will never ever win, but I keep trying.
