My poor old Citroen is on its’ last legs it seems. I think the clutch is finally gone the way of the dodo. Not that it’s been hunted to distinction, no instead I think I’ve just been ragging it around too much and doing one too many donuts in the local village car-park. I spent a while tinkering with it the other day, but it looks like the masking tape may have worn off. Mrs Badger will not be pleased if it suddenly konks out on her on the way home, so it’s time to take a look at buying a new one.
Luckily it’s over 10 years old so it should be elegible for this new fangled government scrappage scheme which allegedly will give me £2,000 if I go out and get a new one. Old Mandy took the idea off the Germans which seems to have worked for them. According to reports their car sales have gone up 40% which is pretty staggering considering.
My old Betsy was a wonderful old motor, Terry Tibbs would have loved her! Old Citroens have some class! The old strange suspension trick always amused me. Seems that they’re offering some form of scrappage scheme too now and on some models you can get upto £3,000 off. Might have to ponder on this and take a look next time I’m down on the trading estate, hopefully I can badger some innocent young salesman into giving me a good deal. I might try the Terry Tibbs approach seems to confuse most people.
Anyway here’s Terry doing what he does best…. remember you dont just jump into bed with Terry…
Great phone jacker video haha.
If you do go into Citroen for a new car, try and haggle for everything you car, they will be more then willing to give you a load of bits and pieces free to close the sale.
Lol at the vid
, Personally Citroen generally have decent build quality and are all-round good cars, some of the new Citroen’s (2009 model) such as the C4 look amazing, check them out when you get some free time.
nice video, i wonder me that the other not get pissed fast.
