One of the biggest problems with the internet nowadays is the banal expansion of the ‘how to’ or ‘self help’ videos. Now I’m not completely condemning all of these videos just the ridiculously pointless ones. Back in the days of yore whenever you had a problem you’d either look for a book or try to find a wise man to help you out, but there’s no need for that now, all you have to do is submit to the insidious embrace of Google and ‘shazzam’ all your questions are answered by the click of a button.
Computer self help tutorials can be extremely helpful, especially if your trying to master some new piece of software like Adobe Photoshop or Premiere, but the majority of ‘how to’ videos revolve around ridiculous nonsensical scenarios like ‘how to take out the rubbish’ or ‘how to clean a fork’. The sheer retarded scale of some of these videos is unimaginable. For those of you who cant tie your shoes or don’t know the appropriate way to hang your clothes then quickly hit Google and you’ll find the ideal ‘how to’ video to help you unravel the mystery of ‘how to make a cup of tea’.
Some of my favourite mundane ‘how to’ videos revolve around simple household items. Throughout the videos hapless incompetents and socially inept berks attempt to show us the correct way of dealing with various items, including the best way to clean beds and an a-z guide of how to polish furniture. This list of completely pointless ‘how to’ videos just goes on and on. One I particularly like is how to make breakfast in bed for your mum. I also found this amazing video on how to make a toga, i think it’s particularly special…
